She had always had a love of fashion, which propelled her from runway shows in her grandparent's bodega to competing-and winning-in state-wide competitions for costume and accessory design. Together, they fueled one another's creativity, exploring the world of art, design, and fashion.

As their ambitions grew, Nestor began to focus his creative talents at the intersection of art and fashion: from sneaker design to sculpture. These sculptures - statues of celebrities during iconic performances - perfectly reproduced every detail of their outfits, including miniature fine jewelry, made by hand with real precious metals. As Nestor honed his craft as a jewler, he began to explore new ideas and designs, collaborating with Naomi to develop an original line of jewelry inspired by their own lives, passions, and stories. And thus, the concept for Naones was born.
